Hello world! Welcome to pispace traveler β my tiny corner of the internet! π
I've been wanting to make my own website for a while and I finally just went for it. Neocities is so cool because it feels like the old internet where everyone had their own weird little site.
I'm not totally sure what this site is going to be yet, but probably: blog posts, mini games, and photos. Kind of like a personal scrapbook but in space. Anyway, thanks for visiting! π

Just a collection of things I stumbled across this week that I thought were neat:
π The Neocities browse page is a goldmine β so many creative personal websites out there. Shoutout to everyone building their own space on the web.
π΅ Been listening to a lot of lo-fi and city pop lately. There's something about that dreamy 80s aesthetic that pairs perfectly with late night browsing.
πͺ NASA released some new James Webb telescope images and wow. Justβ¦ wow. Space never stops being incredible.

Random space fact that broke my brain today: there are more stars in the observable universe than grains of sand on every beach and desert on Earth combined.
And each of those stars could have planets orbiting it. And on some of those planets there might be oceans. And in those oceans there might be⦠who knows.
I love thinking about this stuff before bed. It makes my problems feel very small and the universe feel very big and full of possibility. β¨
Music I'm into

This week's playlist has been very eclectic. Here's what's been in rotation:
π΅ City pop β Mariya Takeuchi, Tatsuro Yamashita. Timeless.
π΅ Synthwave β Perturbator, Carpenter Brut. Great for late-night coding sessions.
π΅ Ambient β Brian Eno's Music for Airports. Perfect for just sitting and thinking.
Send me your recommendations! My taste is all over the place and I love discovering new stuff.

It took me longer than I expected but pispace traveler is finally live! π
I knew basically nothing about HTML and CSS when I started. I had to figure out a lot as I went. The Neocities community wiki is super helpful and there are so many tutorials out there.
The hardest part was figuring out how to lay out the three columns on the main page. But I got there. If you're reading this thinking "I want to make my own site too" β just go for it! Start with something simple and build from there. The indie web needs more people like you.
